Carolina Cup Speed Trial 2026 — preview

The Carolina Cup is one of the few pure-speed events in the southeast — heads-up runs over a measured course, top three in each class take cash + product from the sponsor pool. After a strong 2025 turnout we're back at Piedmont RC Airfield for 2026.

Format:

• Friday: open practice + course familiarization (afternoon only)
• Saturday: heats start at 9 AM, finals around 4 PM, awards before sunset

Classes:

• Electric — anything goes provided it's safe and AMA-compliant
• Nitro — same rules

Prize pool so far: Velocity Blades has committed $1,000 cash; Tarheel Lipo is bringing 12 6S 5000mAh packs for the prize pool ($600 value). Both top tiers are still open — grab the Gold before someone else does.
