The five-minute orientation

  1. 1Sign up at /signup — everyone starts as a Pilot. You can add other hats (Event CD, club member, sponsor) any time from your account.
  2. 2Fill your profile. Set your city + state (and an AMA # if you have one). Then add hats: run events as a CD, join or start a club, or set up a sponsor profile.
  3. 3Add data. Populate your Hangar, create your first event as its CD, join a club, or back an event as a sponsor.
  4. 4Browse the catalog at /events (grid) or /events/calendar (month view) — every event has its own page with registration, sponsorship, and (after) photo gallery.
  5. 5Pay how you want. Online card payment ships in a future phase. Today you reserve your spot on the roster, then pay cash, Venmo, PayPal, or check at the gate.

Install it like an app

RCHeliEvents installs to your phone's home screen — no App Store needed. iPhone: Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: Chrome → Install app. You get a full-screen app, offline access to your registrations and the flying-fields directory, and optional push notifications for registration confirmations, event changes, and day-before reminders (turn them on from your account after installing).

Do I need to pay online to register?

No. Click Submit on the registration form and you're on the roster. Pay at the gate — cash, Venmo, PayPal, or check.

Where does my AMA Form 10 signature go?

Onto the official Form 10 the contest director (CD) takes to check-in. The generator pulls every paid pilot's signature, name, AMA #, age class, and aircraft flags onto the AMA-approved PDF.

My AMA number has letters in it. Is that OK?

Yes. Vanity AMA numbers (e.g. REKIT for lifetime members) are supported. The field accepts letters, numbers, and dashes.

What's the Gold/Silver/Bronze podium?

Sponsor tiers are positional, not threshold-based. The single highest contribution holds Gold, second holds Silver, third holds Bronze. Beat the top sponsor by even a dollar and the spot is yours — we email the bumped sponsor instantly.
