Heliblast Carolina 2025 — what a weekend

Two days of clean air, golden hour every evening, and the smell of nitro and 5S lipos. Heliblast Carolina 2025 is in the books.

The numbers:

• 42 paid pilots across both days
• 6 spectator day-pass tickets
• 4 sponsors stepping up at the Gold/Silver/Bronze level
• 1 unfortunate tail-boom incident (no injuries, just bruised egos and a $400 carbon boom — looking at you, Dale)

Highlights:

• Mike Reyes flew a perfect 3D set on Saturday afternoon. The Goblin Raw 580 sounded like a small jet.
• Andre Wallace's twin Goblin pit — the black one and the orange one, set up identically — was the talk of pit row.
• Sponsor row stayed open all weekend. Apex Helitown Hobbies handed out raffle prizes both evenings.
